Detailed Nutrition Guidance
Common areas I help with are cholesterol management, blood sugar regulation, inflammation reduction, fatigue and burnout recovery, nutrition for women's health and fuelling sport or peak performance periods.
I will listen carefully to your wellbeing goals or concerns, and will provide guidance on practical adjustments that suit your priorities and available time.
I can help you to demystify nutrition, understand how your body works and cut through the noise of conflicting advice available in our digital world. We will calculate your energy requirements, and collaborate on a plan that strikes the right balance across the food groups and the vitamins and minerals important to your health profile and stage in life.
I am also happy to guide you on cooking methods to bolster your toolkit and, if eating mindfully or socially feels like a barrier, we can practise that too by having lunch together.
Mindful Eating and Body Image Support
I encourage a mindful approach that emphasises a healthier relationship with food and body image.
Busy days can see us eating reactively rather than consciously, and perhaps not feeling the best about the way we eat. Whether you find yourself skipping or rushing meals due to schedule pressures, eating mindlessly for comfort in times of stress, or feeling ill-at-ease with your food relationship, I can help you to feel better about prioritising time to eat mindfully and to make values-based food choices. I offer structured consultations, mindfulness and nutrient resources, and text support or quick check-ins to help you create and maintain habits you enjoy.
Body image difficulties are common and can be addressed. It is important to understand that our bodies naturally come in different shapes and sizes, and they change throughout our lives. You can be comfortable that my practice is supportive, rather than judgemental. I do not advocate for a particular size, fad diets, sudden weight loss, or the exclusion of entire food groups unless there is valid medical reason. Instead, my focus is on healthier at every size and sustainable lifestyle changes that make a positive difference to your health.
In addition to mindful eating and body image support services, I also offer peer and recovery coaching to people experiencing disordered eating. Please access the dedicated menu tab for information on these offerings and how they can be tailored to you.

My Approach
My approach is evidence-based, compassionate, realistic and mana-affirming.
Nutrition needs to support who you are as a person and how you live your life.
When we work together, we will strive for the right energy and lifestyle balance for you. I will listen and advise without judgement. No question is a silly one and I will break plans down into manageable steps.
Your feedback will inform our progress and we will work together as a team.
I welcome opportunities to learn about cultural frameworks for nutrition and I encourage clients to look at how food connects with their wider lifestyle - sleep quality, work/life balance, social activities and physical environment. Te Whare Tapa Whā, Te Wheke and Fonafale models provide excellent examples of how we can assess our complete wellbeing.
Fairness and clinical accuracy matter to me. If referral to specialist support is required to address complex clinical needs, I will be upfront so you can invest in the right service for you.
